DRIVEN BY PASSION

Alexandra Lier, born in Frankfurt am Main, is a renowned German photographer and filmmaker.

She graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts 1998. Her academic training was supplemented by studying Art History at Goethe University and in 2004 by specialized fine art courses at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and in 2004 at the National Art School in Sydney (NAS).

She achieved her international breakthrough with her long-term project, "The World's Fastest Place." In this profound work, she spent over 15 years accompanying diverse individuals into the twilight of their lives, some reaching the venerable age of 90. This series is a poignant exploration of impermanence and passion, capturing their essence from every angle.

As a director, she has also received over 20 international awards at film festivals, underlining her ability to create visually striking and captivating narratives.

Her work has been featured in major publications such as Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Der Spiegel, Snoecks, CNN, … and shown at international art exhibitions such as Scope Basel, Bloom Cologne and Gallery Weekend Berlin.

In 2019, she expanded her work by founding an AI startup, which gave her the opportunity to learn how to train neural networks and gain a technical background in artificial intelligence. This knowledge allowed her to explore the intersection between AI and traditional photography, continuously redefining the boundaries of visual art. She combined this technical expertise with her artistic practice, creating innovative works that blend technology and creativity in unique ways.

Her background as an entrepreneur, photographer, filmmaker, and freelancer in digital media establishes her as a leading expert in AI imagery and motion pictures.
